The serial entrepreneur and healthcare executive behind FreeHealth.ai has spent more than two decades building businesses, connecting industries, and turning ambitious ideas into scalable ventures.
For Richie Hosein, entrepreneurship has never been confined to a single industry.
Across healthcare, artificial intelligence, hospitality, nightlife, media, and business development, Hosein has built a career around recognizing opportunity, assembling the right people, and creating businesses positioned for growth. His journey has taken him from healthcare boardrooms and hospital systems to some of the most recognizable hospitality destinations in the Hamptons, and now into the rapidly evolving world of AI-powered healthcare.
An award-winning executive, serial entrepreneur, investor, and global healthcare leader, Hosein has participated in initiatives that, according to his professional biography, have collectively generated more than $1 billion in sales.
Today, he is bringing those experiences together through a new venture studio spanning healthcare, hospitality, and marketing and business architecture. Among its portfolio companies is FreeHealth.ai, an ambitious digital health platform designed around a simple idea: navigating your health should be easier.
From Healthcare Sales To Building Businesses
Hosein’s entrepreneurial instincts emerged early. While still in college, he founded a sports marketing company that generated more than $1 million in revenue during its first year.
After college, healthcare became a defining part of his professional trajectory.
At Pfizer, Hosein rose quickly through the organization, ranking No. 1 nationally in sales and earning distinctions including the Vice President’s Cabinet Award and Rookie of the Year. He was also selected as a District Sales Trainer and Assistant District Manager.
His next major chapter came in sports medicine through Johnson & Johnson distributor Empire Surgical.
Joining the company as its sixth team member, Hosein became part of a significant growth period for the organization. Working with surgeons, healthcare executives, hospital administrators, and health systems including Northwell Health, he helped develop commercial strategies designed to accelerate adoption and expand the business.
He eventually joined the managing partner group and served as Regional Sales Director overseeing Long Island, Queens, and Brooklyn. During the growth period, he helped lead and operationalize Empire Surgical expanded from approximately $2 million to more than $60 million before eventually exiting back to Johnson & Johnson.
Hosein later helped scale a compounding pharmacy to approximately $10–12 million in annual revenue, contributing to another business chapter that culminated in an estimated $15–20 million exit.
These experiences helped shape what would become a recurring theme throughout his career: build, scale, connect, and create enterprise value.
Building a Healthcare Ecosystem
In 2004, Hosein founded TRE Medical Technology Consultants, a healthcare commercialization and advisory company serving medical technology, diagnostics, digital health, and life sciences organizations.
Over the next two decades, TRE became a platform through which Hosein could connect innovators with healthcare executives, clinicians, investors, and commercialization opportunities.
Through TRE, he also co-founded Baseline Health, a mobile healthcare platform created to bring clinical services directly to employers, municipalities, unions, and underserved communities.
The platform ultimately grew into a multimillion-dollar operation and supported tens of thousands of patient encounters, demonstrating how community-based healthcare access could also connect patients with larger healthcare systems and specialty services.
Hosein later expanded his focus into artificial intelligence.
From March 2024 through August 2025, he served as Chief Growth Officer of Thinkhat Venture Studio, leading commercialization, partnerships, growth strategy, and capital formation across AI-focused healthcare and life sciences companies.
During his tenure, he helped lead Thinkhat’s first $1 million raise and co-founded FORMD.ai, an AI-powered medical simulation and education platform designed to support clinical training, OSCE preparation, and personalized education for healthcare professionals.
FreeHealth.AI: The Next Chapter
Now Hosein is focusing his experience on what could become one of his most consequential ventures: FreeHealth.ai.
The AI-driven digital health companion is being developed to bring traditionally fragmented parts of the healthcare journey together, from intake and diagnostics to laboratory information, imaging, and insurance navigation.
Rather than forcing patients to navigate multiple disconnected systems, FreeHealth.ai is envisioned as a unified predictive health intelligence platform that helps individuals better understand and manage their healthcare journey.
For Hosein, the opportunity sits at the intersection of technology and a problem he has observed throughout more than two decades in healthcare: information may exist, but patients often struggle to understand where it is, what it means, and what they should do next.
FreeHealth.ai represents an evolution of the work he began through TRE and Baseline Health. The objective is no longer simply connecting patients to care; it is using artificial intelligence to potentially make the entire healthcare experience more understandable, connected, and proactive.
Making His Mark In The Hamptons
Hosein’s accomplishments, however, extend far beyond healthcare.
For years, he has also been a recognizable entrepreneurial force within the Hamptons hospitality and nightlife scene.
He is a co-founder of Etiquette Management Group, an investor in 1OAK Southampton, and the founder of AM Southampton, which became known during its run as one of the Hamptons’ largest nightlife venues.
The Hamptons provided Hosein with a different type of business laboratory.
Healthcare taught him how to navigate complex systems, build professional relationships, and commercialize innovation. Hospitality demanded an understanding of consumer behavior, culture, branding, exclusivity, experience, and relationships.
Hosein learned to operate in both worlds.
That crossover became particularly visible in 2019, when he was brought in to help reposition Playboy Club NYC. Under his leadership, the venue recorded a reported 1,200% increase in revenue over 11 months, demonstrating his ability to apply growth strategy outside the healthcare sector.
His presence in the Hamptons has also increasingly intersected with fashion, media, entrepreneurship, and culture. Rather than viewing healthcare, hospitality, technology, and entertainment as unrelated industries, Hosein approaches them as interconnected ecosystems powered by people, relationships, experience, and execution.
Building Influence Beyond Business
That philosophy also extends to philanthropy and leadership development.
Hosein is founder and president of the Global Healthcare Leaders Foundation, an invite-only nonprofit leadership community that originated from his capstone project in the Harvard Medical School Global Healthcare Leadership Program.
Launched at the Harvard Club of Boston, the organization brings together more than 100 healthcare executives, clinicians, innovators, investors, and policymakers to encourage collaboration across the healthcare ecosystem.
His commitment to leadership stretches back even further. For more than 15 years, his former high school has presented the Rich Hosein Leadership Scholarship, recognizing student-athletes who demonstrate leadership academically and athletically.
Hosein himself graduated No. 2 in his class at St. John’s University, where he was a Silver Key Award recipient, president of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, and captain and four-year starter on the varsity football team. He later completed the Harvard Medical School Global Healthcare Leadership Program in 2024.
The Entrepreneurial Portfolio Gets Bigger
Healthcare is only one component of Hosein’s next chapter.
His venture studio is being built across three primary verticals: healthcare, hospitality, and marketing and business architecture. Alongside FreeHealth.ai is 1nfluenc3 Media, a creative marketing and media company designed to bring media, talent, social strategy, events, public relations, and digital growth together under one platform.
The strategy reflects the career Hosein has already built.
He has operated inside pharmaceutical companies, medical technology businesses, venture studios, hospitality venues, healthcare platforms, and entrepreneurial ventures. Rather than separating those experiences, his newest companies seek to capitalize on the network and operational knowledge created across them.
For Hosein, net worth can therefore be measured by more than a balance
