Amen Real Estate CEO and SOAR Founder and Head Trainer Jim Amen has been making waves in the California real estate industry for nearly two decades. Amen’s journey in the real estate industry began in 2008 when the recession destroyed the appraisal business model that he was involved in. He became a licensed Real Estate Broker that year and opened Amen Real Estate, specializing in working with online leads. With a keen understanding of home values and an extensive book of business built with online leads and fraternity brothers, Amen has turned Amen Real Estate into a top-producing real estate brokerage in California.

In addition to running Amen Real Estate, Amen is the founder and trainer at SOAR. Their coaching and training programs focus on helping agents to be successful in the industry by providing them with tactical and educational content and utilizing data and systems to drive agent results.

Amen differentiates himself by focusing on providing newer agents with foundational skills to obtain clients and know what they’re doing once they have a client. He recently began training emerging agents to use his 10 Tactical Pillars to go from a Top Producing Solo Agent to a Successful Team Leader. 

When asked about his biggest challenges when starting a business, Amen cites working with others who don’t take the time to educate themselves or have the same motivation and work ethic as him. He emphasizes the importance of self-discipline, consistent education, and a strategic approach to each deal. His advice for those starting their own business includes joining a structured team, investing in coaching and education, talking to family before jumping into real estate, and setting a schedule and sticking to it.

Amen’s current projects include completing his book, growing his real estate team focused on online lead generation, adding training content on Instagram and Tik Tok, and launching new programs and mastermind groups through SOAR.

For Amen, success means looking forward to going to the office every day, watching team members and people he coaches achieve their dreams, spending time with family and friends, and traveling to favorite spots. Financial freedom means having the flexibility to spend time with family, the freedom to travel anywhere in the world, and knowing that his family’s financial needs will be taken care of long after he is gone. Owning a business isn’t easy, but the hard times have made his business better, and he has invested significant time and resources in shadowing successful teams across the country to learn and improve his model.
